Plusieurs cinéastes, écrivains ou encore photographes sénégalais se sont saisis de la question LGBTQIA+ dans leur œuvre. Ils se disent inquiets du durcissement de la loi contre les personnes homosexuelles et y voient une instrumentalisation politique visant à détourner l'esprit des populations loin des vraies préoccupations du pays.
